INREV Sustainability Conference 2026: Redefining value in a world in transition

As sustainability moves from principle to practice, the focus is shifting towards how it creates value, resilience and long‑term performance. INREV’s Sustainability Conference, taking place on 29 September in Stockholm, brings this into focus under the theme “Redefining value in a world in transition”.

Shuen Chan, our conference moderator, sets the tone for this event: “The conversation on sustainability continues to evolve. This year's INREV Annual Sustainability Conference doesn't just ask whether sustainability still matters. It challenges us to demonstrate how it creates value and resilience. Our theme, Redefining value in a world in transition, reflects the reality facing the industry today.”

The programme will feature:

  • A keynote opening by Thijs van de Graaf, professor at the University of Gent, on geopolitics, energy security and the transition ahead
  • An investor panel discussing the impact of the macro picture on investment strategies
  • Valuation and underwriting backed by an INREV study with Aneta Rusiniak (Invesco) and Brett Ormrod (LaSalle)
  • An Oxford‑style debate on whether sustainability is transforming the market with Andreas Farberg (KLP) and Abigail Dean (Nuveen)
  • And many more to come.

Shuen says, “This conference brings together leading investors and industry experts for honest conversations, robust debate and practical insights that attendees can take back and apply in their organisations.”

The day concludes with a keynote from the founders of Good Chance Theatre, whose acclaimed West End production Kyoto tells the remarkable story behind the 1997 United Nations climate summit.

“It's a fitting way to close the day," Shuen says, "reminding us that meaningful change requires both analytical rigour and imagination. I hope you'll join us in Stockholm.”

Don’t miss out and join us for a day of valuable insights, discussion and practical takeaways on sustainability.
