The European ODCE Index delivers the strongest quarterly performance to date

The Q4 2021 European ODCE Index recorded its strongest quarterly performance to date, also bypassing the €40 billion mark in terms of GAV

Key highlights:

  • The European ODCE Index delivered its strongest performance to date with the Q4 2021 total return of 3.42%, up from 1.99% in the previous quarter. Strong capital growth was the major driver, improving from 1.46% in Q3 to 2.56% in Q4
  • On a one year rolling basis, the Index performance reached 8.91%, well above its three and five year annualised returns of 5.03% and 5.70%, respectively.     
  • The Gross Asset Value (GAV) of the Index also reached a record high, reaching €41.5 billion at the end of 2021.

The Index is wholly comprised of open end core commingled equity real estate funds that have a strategy to invest across pan Europe and across multiple sectors. Funds must comply with a strict eligibility criteria for four consecutive quarters in a row to be included in the index.
