In April 2023 INREV celebrates its 20th anniversary, and this important milestone gives us the opportunity to reflect on our history and achievements. In this special edition of IQ magazine, we invite you to join us on a journey through the last 20 years and beyond, exploring where we’ve come from, where we are now, and where we could be heading. 

This edition of IQ also presents the first article in a series of ‘Lessons Learned’, to help industry players understand how the non-listed real estate investment asset class has evolved and how we can all learn from past experience to make better-informed decisions in the future.

Reading the articles that make up this anniversary edition of IQ, a golden thread running through them is collaboration. Your contribution, whether that’s through a committee, working group or speaking at an event or training course has been fundamental to the development of the community.
I would like to thank you, together with the INREV team, for your invaluable contributions – you have made INREV what it is today. 

This, our 50th issue of IQ magazine, will be the last to be produced in magazine format. However, IQ will continue to bring you insights, interviews and updates in a wide variety of accessible and digestible packages, as and when they will be most topical, useful and relevant. 

I hope you enjoy this edition of IQ. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing many of you at the Annual Conference 2023 in Barcelona. That will be another opportunity for us to celebrate the momentous milestone of INREV’s 20th anniversary.
