Predevelopment is the initial stage of development. It generally includes activities pertaining to the preparation of a site or land parcel and infrastructure in anticipation of the development construction for specific usage including, but not limited to, acquisition of title or options to land, assessment of its surroundings, initial conceptual designs of the intended building, preparation for obtaining building rights and/or application for relevant governmental permits, resulting in the contractual development.
